Tribal village weave Day-Bed rug from Meshkin village near the city of Ardabil in the Eastern Azerbaijan state of Persia, made circa 1950 by Azeri women for use as a wall-hanging display piece behind their Day-Bed at home. A unique cottage weave rug with beautiful, intricate repeated motifs representing the ancient Herati or Mahi pattern in its design. Made in Meshkin, North-West Persia
