This vintage Afghan runner features a traditional Turkmen Dolatabad design with repeating geometric medallions set against a rich red field and framed by a strong tribal border. Its deep tonal palette and classic composition give the piece an authentic character, particularly suited to hallways, entrances and traditional interiors.
Hand knotted in Afghanistan and dating to circa 1980, the rug is woven with a durable wool pile and remains in very good condition. Its strong construction, compact proportions and traditional workmanship make it a practical and highly decorative vintage runner.
