An exceptionally fine Persian Nain 9LA from circa 1970, featuring an elegant 16th-century-inspired corner and medallion design enriched with classical Shah-Abbassi flowers. The deep navy field, finely drawn floral composition and contrasting ivory border create a sophisticated and timeless appearance typical of high-quality Nain weaving.
Hand-knotted in Central Persia during the Second Pahlavi period, this rug is woven with a fine wool and silk pile and approximately 800,000 knots per square metre. Its high knot density allows remarkable precision throughout the floral detailing, while the strong construction makes it both decorative and highly durable. A very fine example of traditional Nain craftsmanship in good condition.
