A distinctive custom-made Afghan Turkmen-weave rug featuring a bold geometric composition with stylised medallions, birds, animals and tribal motifs. The aqua-blue field is framed by rich red, ochre, ivory and navy borders, giving the rug a vibrant yet traditional character with strong Caucasian and tribal influence.
Hand-knotted in a specialised studio in Mazar-Sharif, Afghanistan, using traditional weaving techniques and natural vegetable dyes. The handcrafted construction and naturally varied colours give the rug depth, texture and individuality, while its smaller size makes it ideal for an entrance, study, bedroom or feature area.
