Hand knotted Turkmen weave Afghan rug, custom made in a studio in Mazar-e Sharif. Woven with handspun wool and dyed using natural vegetable dyes. The design is inspired by a 17th century Safavid rug held in a museum collection. Unique piece and very durable.
