This Transitional Classic Tabriz carpet transforms an original Safavid-era piece into a contemporary masterpiece. Its European designer has reformulated the fragmented pieces of the antique carpet into bold colour patches, evoking natural formations such as forest trees and algae. Custom-made in a studio workshop in Jaipur, it features pure silk and fine NZ wool pile with 400,000 Persian knots per square metre.
