A superb Persian Kork Kashan dating to the late Pahlavi era, circa 1970, featuring a rare all-over Shah Abbasi floral design. The finely balanced composition, elegant floral motifs and sophisticated traditional drawing reflect the high standard of Kashan weaving from this period.
Hand-knotted in Persia using very fine Kork wool pile and woven to approximately 400,000 knots per square metre, providing excellent clarity and definition throughout the intricate floral pattern. Its fine weave, quality materials and uncommon all-over design make this an especially attractive example of late 20th-century Kashan craftsmanship.
