A finely hand-knotted Kashmir silk rug featuring the famous Persian Dome design, celebrated for its intricate architectural composition and highly detailed floral ornamentation. Woven in Srinagar, Kashmir, circa 2024, using pure silk pile and approximately 500,000 knots per square metre. The fine knotting allows exceptional definition throughout the detailed design, while the natural lustre of the silk enhances the richness, depth and changing appearance of the colours from different viewing angles.
