Hand-knotted Karajeh-Heriz runner from the Azerbaijan region of north-west Persia, dating to circa 1970. The design features a series of bold geometric medallions set against a rich red field, framed by traditional tribal borders in deep indigo, ivory, gold and earthy tones.

Woven with a strong wool pile, this rare vintage runner is particularly durable and full of regional character. Its long, narrow proportions make it ideal for hallways, entrances and gallery spaces.
