A richly detailed Afghan Turkmen-weave rug inspired by 19th-century Persian Khamseh tribal carpets. The design features a powerful geometric composition filled with stylised birds, animals, flowers and traditional tribal symbols, arranged around strong central medallions. Deep navy, brick red, ivory, soft blue and warm ochre create a vibrant yet beautifully balanced palette.
Hand-knotted in Mazar-Sharif, Afghanistan, and coloured with natural vegetable dyes, the rug has the attractive tonal variation and individual character associated with traditional hand weaving. Its combination of historic Persian tribal imagery and refined Afghan craftsmanship makes it a distinctive decorative piece for both classic and eclectic interiors.
