A distinctive Afghan Turkaman rug inspired by the geometric artistry of 15th-century Mamluk carpets. The design draws on the strong architectural structure, medallions and intricate repeating motifs associated with historic Mamluk weaving, giving the piece a sophisticated character suited to traditional, eclectic and refined contemporary interiors.
Hand-knotted in Afghanistan using traditional Turkaman weaving techniques, the rug is made from handspun wool pile and coloured with natural vegetable dyes. The naturally dyed wool creates subtle tonal variations and depth, while the robust construction gives the rug excellent durability and an authentic handmade texture.

Purchases under 20kg are shipped free of charge to metropolitan suburbs within major Australian cities (Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, and Canberra). All items are dispatched from our showroom in Malvern, VIC 3144.
Freight charges apply to all rural and regional areas across Australia, regardless of weight.
For purchases exceeding 20kg, shipping charges will apply. Customers will be notified of the freight cost prior to dispatch and may proceed with the purchase only after confirming acceptance of the shipping charges.

All you need to do is email us within 48 hours of receiving your rug and then package it up, ensuring it’s watertight just as it was when you received it.
We’ll even arrange to have it collected from your address so that you don’t need to worry about getting it back to us!
